There was NEVER a time when Entrepreneur, Screenwriter, Author, Actor, and Executive Producer A’Cora Berry wasn’t captivated and moved by the magic of cinematic storytelling. 

When she wasn’t watching old classics or her favorite TV shows, she was dreaming of producing her own films. So, it’s not surprising that A’Cora and one of her best childhood friends would often skip lunch in grade school to scout locations for their next blockbuster hit.

Growing up in a small town in Mexico, A’Cora didn’t have the opportunity to see any new releases. But she’ll never forget the day her sister brought home a few films on VHS, including ‘ The Mask ‘ with Jim Carrey and ‘The Mighty Ducks’. She watched them over and over… until the magnetic tapes almost disintegrated.

For A’Cora, dreaming about moviemaking – – along with participating in theatrical productions in her teens and early twenties – – provided a welcomed respite from a challenging childhood painfully punctuated by molestation by a neighboor and the horrific murder of her father.  However, despite these and other hurdles, including an accident that left her husband a quadriplegic, A’Cora never allowed her childhood dream to drift too far out of reach.

After immigrating to the U.S. in 1999, she worked as a house cleaner and janitor while supporting her mother in México. Humble beginnings to be sure, but experiences that she treasures and remains extremely proud to this day.
